GIS Developer - (M/F)

Challenge

Our Client is a multinational consulting firm in the technology sector offering a wide range of solutions and services, including consulting, infrastructure services, implementation, development and maintenance of applications, and outsourcing services. With a total turnover of €375 million in 2017 and a workforce made up of more than 4,000 highly qualified professionals, already has a direct presence on five continents.

This professional will be integrated in research projects for the European Commission, which ranges from electrical engines to catastrophes prevention, water management, nuclear security, among others. The professional will also develop business and web applications and use web content management systems.

Profile

• European Citizenship (mandatory);
• Fluency in English (mandatory);
• More than 11 years of experience in GIS development and 6 years in frontend development;
• Proficiency in WMS, WFS, Geoserver, and PostGIS;
• Familiarity with GIT (version control system) and JIRA and Bitbucket;
• Understanding of NodeJS runtime, programming model, UI designing and prototyping;
• Expertise in web technologies: javascript, OpenLayers, JSON, jQuery, REST, XHTML, CSS/SCSS;
• Experience with relational database systems and geospatial data analysis;
• Experience with Tableau data visualization software;
• Understanding of Angular (application framework >6.0) and KML, GeoJSON (data formats);
• Knowledge of Javascript, SQL, Mongo Shell (optional).
