Experienced Data Analyst – Antwerpen, Belgium (M/F)

CHALLENGE

Our client is a data science company turning IOT sensor data into rich insights about people’s behavior and real-time context.

As an experienced Data Analyst, you will be integrated within the Data Science Team, with a passion for data analysis and visualization. You’ll be ready to work in a fast-paced environment and start a new challenge, where you can use your programming skills to solve challenging data-driven problems.

You will have the following responsibilities:

• Extract, analyze, understand, and visualize insights output;
• Conduct customized analysis and visualization for different use cases and business verticals;
• Create visually-appealing dashboards available for the sales team and for customers during POC; and create visually-appealing reports aimed for internal distribution on the customer side;
• Conduct data analysis specific to individual proof of concepts;
• Work in close collaboration with biz dev, sales, and product owners to translate internal and client requirements into well-designed tooling; and also with designers, full-stack engineers to create and deploy dashboards accessible through web clients.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• A degree in computer science, economics, or any analytic-oriented fields (BSc or MSc); or have proven equivalent experience;
• A quantitative mindset;
• Proven experience in statistical analysis;
• Technical know-how (experience with):
  • data analysis Python stack (Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
  • dedicated business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • SQL
  • relational databases (Postgres)
  • Knowledge of interactive visualization libraries like D3.js or Plot.ly
  • understanding of front-end development (e.g. JavaScript/CSS/HTML)
• Data visualization skills:
  • working knowledge of data visualization principles
  • basic understanding of design principles
• Business knowledge:
  • understanding of business process and requirements
  • experience in data analysis and visualization in a business-driven environment
• Critical thinking;
• Communication skills.
