We are Claranet and if you share our beliefs, we are looking for you! Because we aspire to do more and better, we are looking for a Software Engineer to integrate our internal team, based in Lisbon. As a Software Engineer you'll work in a constantly evolving environment, due to technological advances and the strategic direction of their organisation. You'll create, maintain, audit and improve systems to meet particular needs, often as advised by a systems analyst or architect, testing both hard and software systems to diagnose and resolve system faults. Your responsibilities include: Participate in the design, prototyping and implementation of new applications; Maintain existing applications, identifying and fixing issues; Participate in code reviews and sharing knowledge with the rest of the team; Contribute to improve and develop standards and best practice. You must have: Have at least 3 years of experience in software development; Have experience implementing distributed systems; Have experience working in a Linux/Unix environment; Have experience working with software revision control systems (preferably Git); Write clean, readable, well-tested, well-documented and thoughtful code; Be able to share your knowledge and ideas as well as listening to others opinions; Be responsible, autonomous, focused and able to work as a team or independently; Be fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skills; Bonus: Experience writing software with Python; Bonus: Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures; Bonus: Experience with container technologies and CI/CD.
