JOB NAME: Technical Support Engineer TYPE OF CONTRACT: Long Term/Permanent and all KCS IT benefits – “Office Lisbon” PROJECT LOCATION: Parque Das Nações MISSION: “Responsible for installation, configuration, operation, support (Tier 2/3) and maintenance of systems software and related infrastructure.” SKILLS TO MAKE IT: Bachelor / Master in Computer Engineering or similar; Solid foundations in Windows and/or Linux systems and scripting languages (e.g. Powershell, bash, vbscript) Experience with monitoring systems (preferably Nagios-like systems: Nagios, Check_MK); Experience with SQL - Knowledge on SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL databases Communications Protocols (TCP, HTTP/S, SSH);Clarity & Confidence Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V); (Plus) Experience with WebLogic installation and configuration; (Plus) Knowledge in Fusion Middleware (SOA, OSB and Portal); (Plus) Proven ability to multitask Ability and willingness to learn Good attention to detail, an ability to assimilate, sort and aggregate complex information quickly. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
