Application Architect - Drupal, Ispra, Milan (Italy) (M/F)

Challenge

Our Client is a multinational consulting firm in the technology sector offering a wide range of solutions and services, including consulting, infrastructure services, implementation, development and maintenance of applications, and outsourcing services. With a total turnover of €375 million in 2017 and a workforce made up of more than 4,000 highly qualified professionals, already has a direct presence on five continents.

This professional will be integrates in research projects for European Commission, which range from electrical engines to catastrophes prevention, water management, nuclear security, among others.

The professional will be expected to contribute to all the tasks listed below:

• Provide solutions and be a part of the decision-making team in technical questions;
• Designing and developing the business logic and Web API required to access data and support end-user interaction;
• Designing and implementing the data structure and models required for the data layer;
• Structure the communication between several applications
• Maintenance and upgrading of the current system;
• Development of specific functionality according to the technical annex;
• Define tactical guidelines;

PROFILE

• Fluency in English (mandatory);
• European Citizenship (mandatory);
• Strong experience in Drupal (7, 8) web application development.
• Strong experience in backend development (PHP, Postgres).
• Extensive knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Extensive knowledge developing REST API as well as integrating with third party APIs.
• Excellent knowledge in Drupal, creating custom modules and hooks.
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, required.
• Familiar with CSS preprocessors like SASS and Bootstrap.
• Experience with “drush” command-line tool.
• Experience in data transport technologies (Json, XML, etc.).
• Affiliation with responsive, mobile & content-first approach.
