What will be your main responsibilities and task? • Work as experienced Java Software Engineer to develop Network Management Systems for Optical / Transport Networks; • Work as an integral part of a cross-functional development team doing everything to deliver high quality software and create value to the organization; • Participate in the complete development cycle, including analysis, design, implementation and tests of the features; • Participate in the continuous improvement of the team’s methods, software and satisfaction; • Receive the requirements and features from the product management, understanding what’s being required and solve the problem from Software engineering perspective. • Debugging the existing versions and propose enhancements taking into account the cost/benefit ratio. What is required from you? • Degree in Computer Science or related fields; • At least 3 years of experience in Java software development; • Knowledge of software engineering practices and design patterns with focus on Java / J2EE application development; • Experience and knowledge of Object Oriented concepts, data structures and multi-threading; • Experience in Java, J2EE, EJB 3.1, Hibernate, JPA, and GWT; • Experience with Application servers (JBOSS will be valued); • Knowledge of database concepts and SQL; • UNIX (specifically Linux) and/or Windows knowledge; • Knowledge of TMN products and Telecommunication Technologies (SDH, OTN, DWDM, Ethernet, IP) will be valued; • Fluent in English (both spoken and written); • Availability to travel; • Strong analysis skills; • Good communication skills including the ability to share knowledge; • Problem solving attitude.
