Oracle Performance Tuning Specialist - Lisbon (m/f)

Noesis is currently seeking applications with the following profile:

The Oracle Performance Tuning Specialist will:

- Optimize the performance of WM Security Masterfile system night batch process;
- Perform L1 and L2 production support to the WM security Masterfile system;
- Receive code change deliveries, patch upgrade, project releases from Singapore IT Hub then perform both technical and functional tests to these deliveries;
- Work together with the technical teams in Switzerland to give them instructions on implementing the code changes, projects and patch upgrades;
- Follow the WMIS governance and WMISL processes;
- Provide UAT support to projects in terms of testing and deployment through close collaboration with the different WM sites involved in the project;
- Ensure close follow up with users and other IT teams for proper closure of issues and requests.

Mandatory skills:

- Superior expertise on SQL queries optimization;
- Strong PL/SQL experience;
- Very Strong database experience using Oracle 11g/12g;
- Good knowledge of DBA skills using Oracle 11g/12g;
- Experience in Unix and Shell scripting;
- Superior level of understanding of performance testing strategies and load models;
- Knowledge and experience of profiling/monitoring tools (system, application server, application);
- Knowledge and experience of analysing performance issues across all the tiers (client, network, application, database);
- Experience and ability to work with various teams (multi-cultural, international setup and virtual teams) to resolve performance issues;
- Extensive experience in performing root cause analysis and quick problem solving reflex;
- Extensive experience in daily verbal and written communication with a diverse group of people: business users, IT teams, managers;
- Ability to learn from experience and from informal/formal instructions;
- Fluent in English both verbal and written communication.
