Spring Professional is hiring for its international client, who is the largest online platform of accommodation booking, a Software Engineer - Backend/ APIs (M/F), for Porto.

Main Responsabilities

- Develop robust and scalable APIs and Services to support high traffic applications;

- Work across different areas of the software stack;

- Contribute clean, secure and maintainable code to the product;

- Contribute to the evolution of the overall product/system architecture;

- Optimising code for performance and scalability;

- Prototyping and building highly performed and flexible components;

- Estimating features while working closely with technical and business teams at each stage of the development lifecycle;

- Provide guidance, feedback and input on the product roadmap and technical strategy;

Profile

- Between 2 - 4 years professional object-oriented PHP;

- Experience in RESTful API development and XML/JSON processing;

- Strong understanding of most popular design patterns (MVC, SOLID, Dependency injection);

- Experience with version control systems e.g. GIT/Mercurial;

- Ability to engage deeply with our customers and your peers, and to freely give and accept feedback;

- Strong experience in MySQL;

- Experience with testing tools (phpunit, behat, phpspec) and methodologies TDD, BDD;

- Experience working in Agile methodologies;

- Proficient in both spoken and written English.
