Research Engineer (m/f)

Human Profiler is a consultancy company, providing search&recruitment services for our clients in different areas. Our client is a technology multinational company, with their Portuguese branch based in Lisbon, is looking for a Research Engineer (m/f).

The hired professional will have as main responsibilities:
- Research and develop solution to be included commercial products and services that include, but not limited to: image, video and audio processing, biometrics, hardware solutions, interaction with hardware components.
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Informatics, or Physics/Physical Engineering or Msc in the above areas with 3 to 4 years’ industry experience;
- 2-3 years experience in Object Oriented programming languages (C++/C#/ Java)
- Experience in Python to build quick prototypes is a plus;
- Solid knowledge in two to the following areas: geometric computer vision, cameras and cameras networks, machine and deep learning, device calibration, data science, physics, operational investigation, biometrics;
The ideal candidate should meet the following profile:
- Developed software solutions (vision, video analytics, data processing and analysis) to be included in products;
- Prototyping hardware and software solutions for biometric capture and recognition;
- Support product validation and related troubleshooting activities.
- Integration and/or testing of biometric recognition components;
- Produce internal documentation to support the solutions developed (either hardware or software);
