General Description of the Role and Candidate: Permanently based in Caldas Da Rainha, Portugal, with a hybrid working policy (3 days a week in office, 2 days WFH) you will be working with a wider team of 18 based between Ireland and Portugal. The technology team is made up of 3 other software engineers (2 seniors), 1 Data scientist, 1 Senior UX-UI. About you: At least 5+ years experience in back-end software development At least 7 years experience working in a web platform-oriented software stack. Experience working within payments or financial companies is preferable. Demonstrated ability of project management & execution in software delivery. Product-oriented developer, you care about the end user as if you had to use it yourself. Demonstrable commitment to self-development and continuous learning in the field. Preferable experience in leading small software teams up to 10 persons. Preferable experience with technologies (such as, but not limited to) Ruby on Rails, VueJS, PostgreSQL Native level spoken and written English. Excellent references from employers that you are happy for us to speak with. About the role: Develop, maintain and continually improve a back-end web application built in Ruby on Rails Responsible for API integrations with third party providers including other financial services Lead on implementation of best practices in testing and Dev Ops Manage work flows with the Ruby on Rails backend to integrate UI components with APIs and databases Tools used: Macbook Pro (or equivalent) Ruby on Rails JS, VueJS Git, Gitlab pipeline Heroku & Google Cloud Platform Google Analytics, Teamwork.com, Slack, MS Teams Incentives and Reward GRID’s Incentive and reward systems have been designed to ensure that GRID is building a sustainable and impactful financial services business in Ireland. Cash and equity reward systems are in place. Equity participation is available after 2 years of working in the business at the discretion of the business.
